If we take a look at the map, we have several areas for expansion. The only logical area for DIRECT expansion would be north of Tyria. Far above in a Tundra style enviroment, maybe a Russiaesk environment? Or, above the magumma jungle area, a nomadic race, barbarian perhaps? Or maybe a South AMerican them north of the jungle, or a side continent that was attached to Orr. They have many directions on which to expand the map.

id like to see a campaign with some similar technology to like final fantasy. maybe have some tinkerers, limited machinery (like the da vinci designed aeroplanes) you could also have alchemists and such.
maybe an atlantean type thing, similar to stargate or something. i dont know...

I would personaly like an expansion that would take place underground like beneath tyria like a ginormous cave system with lots of underground and made up plants and giant tree roots with underground tameable animals and mean monsters like the ranger can tame worms, moles, and/or (like Addone Abaddon said) bunnies.
And the professions would seem more evilish.
And what if the whole perpose to come underground is because the charr found a way under and would try to come up right in the middle of a city and completely destroy it!
And while under you find amazing cities and lush uuuum.... plant places.
And there could be violent plants that are harming and destroying these beautiful underground kingdoms. (This could be a side quest or somethin)

Heh. That sound a lot like DnD's Underdark. But it would be really cool.

Prophecies is not european.... You start in Ascolon, and then you see nothing of it for the rest of the game, you head into treacherous mountains, Saharas and Jungles, and deserts. Prophecies is a universal chapter.
Factions is certainly oriental in nature, but if you take a step back and look at kurzicks and Luxons, which each make up about 1/3 of the background in Factions, you realize they are not very oriental, at all. I don't know if I can compare them to a particular culture, they both look like freaks to me, but Luxon seems simular to Mongolians and Huns, wile Kurzicks seem simular to freaks.... with a bit of chinese sprinkles.
As for nightfall, it is certainly looking to be arabic with some egyptian/african influence, they certainly arn't as african as the Krytans though.
I still say a Native American (General) chapter would be good, and probably best would be a Sea Farring Island theme with several unique and alternate island cultures, multiple cultures is always better.

The Americas would make for an amazing campaign.
Aztecs, Mayans, and Incas all had rich mythologies and cool architecture, but you don't have to stop there. You could base regions on the Haida, or the Inuit, or the Sioux, or the Iroquois, or the Pueblos. And if you wanted to throw New World Europeans into the mix, you could have a culture based on the early colonization of the Caribbean (Pirates!) or on the Vikings of Vinland. It's pretty much virgin territory in the MMORPG market, too.
In other parts of the world, some kind of almalgamation of Italy, Iberia, and Greece would also make for a great expansion.

Norse would be great, there is so much that could be done with it.
Egyptian would to be great but after nightfall i dont think itll be done.
Some sort of snow dwelling race would be sweet too, as would a setting in a mass, dense and exotic jungle with those kewl ruins in them
with that said though, it would be great to see an entirely NEW structure as aposed to using ones that existed/exist thoughout our history.

Off the top of my head.

- Aztec/Mayan (South American)
- Norse (Northern Europe -> Greenland/Iceland)
- Persian/Indian (Middle East)
- Carribean (Sea faring)

Norse theme, with maybe battles at sea where you have to try and board enemy boats and take kill the captain to take them over, or sink them like in the first mission of NF.
I would like to see more of torment. Has to be my favorite place to be in all three campaigns.

An American Southwestern themed expansion, with mesas, prairies and badlands! ArcaneMacabre already has the new expansion class all worked out with the Feral.

Oh...my...GAWD!
You people have no clue when it comes to Native American history.
North America = Cheyenne, Apache, Sioux, Shoshone, Iroquois, Inuit & Eskimo. (along with plenty more)
Central America = Aztecs, Maya ect.
South America = Inca, Aymara ect.
....
Aborigines Australian would be cool too, maybe with some Maori influence.

Paradise
A Polynesian theme would be perfect. The scenery would be so picturesque: volcanoes, tropical rainforests, coral reefs, beaches, megalithic architecture, rice and coconut plantations, awe-inspiring sunsets and starry night skies.
A challenge for the developers would be to incorporate swimming and sea mobs. Polynesia does not have any native mammals but there are whales the size of cruise ships. There once were monster birds there, too, 10 feet tall "moa's," which went extinct a couple hundred years ago. The scariest current resident of Polynesia is a poisonous centipede technically called "scolopendra subspinipes" - if the artists capture the way these guys twist and squirm they would be too scary for me to fight. Other scary bugs and flies and hostile human tribes could also be sources for NPC's.
Polynesian legends are rich with stories about Gods mingling with royalty and commoners, god-like and human-like sea creatures, creepy rituals, human sacrifice and cannibalism and beautiful love stories.
Two races could be
Cannibals who stab with sticks and knives, perhaps on fire, and bake the dead for a party health buff.
Witch doctors who have powerful healing/damage skills dependent on plant and bug ingredients and (possibly) group emotes. Fueling these skills would require a lot of farming and getting the party to stop and /something is rather complicated but, from what I hear other players say, complicated is good. This would be fun.
Polynesian dance is beautiful and different. Some examples:
Tongan guy dance at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOVUn-pDoz0
the best Polynesian female dance I could find is hidden in
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6vr2z-cT78
A Hawaiian hula is at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huFf0uZGKEg
cool Tahitian tourist trap version is at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXyG36M2rnQ
a Polynesian chant is at

Ah, Polynesia. I served the Peace Corps in Tonga for two years. Real life there puts all MMOs to shame. Wouldn't this chapter be perfect?
Oh, 'Epeli Hau'ofa's halarious Kisses in the Nederends could give the writers some ideas for witch doctors and a taste of Polynesian humor.
